Audi A6 2.0 TFSI
The green(er) A6
February 2007

JUST a quick note to let you know the Audi A6 is now available with a 2.0 TFSI engine, in both sedan and Avant variants.

With 125 kW and 280 Nm, average consumption of 8.5 litres per 100km thanks to its direct fuel injection engine and turbocharger means it is capable of travelling around 820 kilometres on a single tank of fuel.

Audi’s managing director, Joerg Hofmann, says the A6 2.0 TFSI is a highly-attractive package which will sell strongly in Australia.

“With an award-winning and very sporty engine, yet achieving fuel efficiency at the same time, the performance of this vehicle highlights the successful marriage of two seemingly opposite concepts. In the current climate of rising fuel prices, this feature of the new A6 variant will prove popular with our customers,” Mr Hofmann said.

The popular 2.0 TFSI engine is also available on the A3 Sportback, A4 and new TT models.

Boasting a high level of standard specification as befitting the A6 model range, the 2.0 TFSI features high levels of active and passive safety thanks to eight airbags, ESP, ABS electronic brake force distribution and Brake Assist.

The latest multitronic CVT transmission with 7 pre-defined ratios is standard for sedan and Avant and the vehicle also features servotronic speed sensitive power steering.

Leather upholstery, woodgrain trim, CD changer, electric windows, acoustic rear parking sensors, split-fold rear seats, auto-dimming interior mirror with a light and rain sensor plus multi-function steering wheel are all standard equipment.

Additionally, the Avant is also equipped with aluminium roof rails, a storage package and the brand’s innovative and flexible securing package of luggage nets, telescoping rails and retaining straps.
